Our Mission

Ready4Real's mission is to empower people with the essential skills and confidence needed to thrive in their academic and professional pursuits.

Ready4Real, a 501(c)(3) organization, is a career and life readiness program offering a unique link between education, workforce, and economic development for students and people in the North Country.

Through curriculum developed to fit the needs of its participants, students explore everything from teamwork and communication to resume building, interview prep, and financial literacy.

We believe every student can shine as their true self, shape their dream career, and make a real impact.

Why Ready4Real

Too many students leave school unsure of their options, unprepared for the workplace, or disconnected from local career pathways.

Ready4Real was created to change that.

We focus on real skills, real experiences, and real connections-- because career readiness isn't theoretical. It's built through exposure, mentorship, and opportunities to try, learn, and grow in supportive environments.

Designed in partnership with educators, Ready4Real bridges the gap between the classroom and the workforce by helping participants step into their futures with purpose and confidence.

Hands on, Not Hypothetical

Our programs emphasize applied learning -- workshops, site visits, projects, and real-world problem solving -- so participants can see how skills translate into careers.

We partner with regional employers to introduce students to in-demand industries, career paths, and workplace expectations specific to our community.

Skills matter, but belief matters too. We help students build self-confidence, communication skills, and professional awareness so they can advocate for themselves and take initiative.

Ready4Real is rooted in the local community. Our programs are designed with schools, families, employers, and partners to ensure relevance, accessibility, and impact.

Ready4Real is a skill-based, research-driven interactive series of lessons designed to provide learning opportunities for students to authentically engage in personal development and career readiness. Our faculty work in collaboration with teacher partners to provide systematic and sequential learning courses for high school students.
